Wow, what a year it’s been for Home-Start Warrington & Cheshire! As we take a moment to look back on 2023/24, we can’t help but feel proud of everything we’ve achieved together. It’s been an incredible year of helping families, celebrating volunteers, and making a difference in our community.
Here’s a look into what we’ve been up to:
Supporting Families Through Tough Times
This year, 737 children benefited from our programs and support services. That’s 737 lives made a bit brighter because of the work we do. Whether it’s offering a listening ear or practical help, we’ve been there to make life a little easier for families going through tough times.
Shoutout to Our Volunteers
Our volunteers are absolute superstars. They gave an incredible 1391 hours of their time to support families across Warrington and Cheshire this year. From offering a listening ear to being a steady hand, they’re the heart and soul of Home-Start.
Also, one of our amazing volunteers was named Home Visitor of the Year at the Home-Start UK Volunteer Awards in January 2024. She’s gone above and beyond for the families she supports, and we couldn’t be prouder.
Babyzone Comes to Town
We hit a big milestone in 2023/24 with the launch of Babyzone, the first one outside London! This new service has created a safe, welcoming space where parents and their little ones can play, learn, and connect with other families. It’s been such a joy to see it take off and become a lifeline for so many.
