At Home-Start Warrington & Cheshire, our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do. By giving just 2–3 hours a week, you can make a lasting difference to a local family facing challenging times.

Whether you’re a parent, carer, grandparent, or someone who understands the ups and downs of family life, your experience could be exactly what someone else needs.

We provide full training, ongoing support, and carefully match you with a family where you can truly help, simply by listening, encouraging, and being there.

You don’t have to fix everything.

The Recruitment Process

If you are interested in volunteering please get in touch with Louise on 01925 652320 or email [email protected]

We will then send you an application form which you can contact us about if you require support completing. We will then invite you in for an informal chat and talk about what you can expect from us and what we expect from you as a volunteer. This includes an online and face to face preparation course which includes child safeguarding training and the role of the volunteer. Once you are matched with a family you will receive regular supervision and guidance from your Family Support Coordinator as well as volunteer coffee mornings where you can meet other Home Start volunteers.

We also have other volunteer opportunities such as Minibus driver, chaperone or playgroup volunteers.
