Thriving Families
We continue to offer our families bespoke non-judgemental home visiting support via our brilliant and highly trained volunteers and outreach workers as well as offering our small, friendly and supportive stay and play sessions.
HomeStart is expanding in Northwich and Winsford
Many families within Northwich and Winsford have benefitted from this input and have experienced lots of positive outcomes. Referrals can be made via our website.
Our lovely new Family Support Coordinator can be contacted on: [email protected] and our admin on [email protected]
Using the wonderful team at HomeStart we provide holistic, non-judgemental support tailored to the needs of parents, carers, children, and young people aged 0–19 (up to 25 with SEND). Whether it’s help with daily routines, parenting strategies, emotional well-being, or strengthening family relationships, we’re here to make a positive and practical difference. The families will be linked with our new outreach worker Alice who can visit the family in their home weekly.
We are currently accepting referrals
who live within the footprints of:
- Over Children’s Centre Winsford
- Victoria Road Children’s Centre Northwich

To enable us to positively impact our Thriving Families we are partnered with Her-Place (previously Motherwell) and HealthBox.
Her-Place will be offering their specialist BACP accredited counselling services to all Thriving Families parents in a bespoke and family centred way. HealthBox will be providing therapeutic support to children using the most appropriate programme to suit their needs. Referrals can be made via our website.
Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Support Group Leftwich
This Home-Start group is a wonderful and supportive environment for mums during pregnancy and early motherhood.
A perinatal support group could really make a difference in helping women feel less alone, especially during such a transformative and sometimes overwhelming time.
- Guided relaxation and mindfulness sessions to help manage stress and promote emotional well-being.
- Sharing circles where mums can connect and share experiences or challenges in a non-judgmental, empathetic space.
- Expert-led discussions on topics like prenatal and postnatal care, mental health, baby care, and self-care.
- Practical support like tips on breastfeeding, sleep routines, or baby bonding, life-style choices (smoking, drinking etc)
- Group activities like crafts to provide relaxation and foster creativity.
This type of group can create a powerful sense of community, where women feel empowered and nurtured, allowing them to bond with each other while receiving the emotional and practical support they need.
Guest speakers / advisors may include
- Dad matters
- Health visitors
- Oral Health
- Maternity action
- Mind / mental health charities
- Breast feeding advice
- Her-Place
