Chair
Anne started her working life as a Podiatrist and finished her NHS career as the Director of Governance and Risk in a Mental Health Trust. She has eight years previous experience as a Primary School Governor four of which were in the role as Chair of the Governing Body. Anne’s extensive strategic knowledge and experience reflect a commitment to creating positive change and fostering resilient communities, with a focus on furthering the charity’s impact.

Vice Chair
Gwen has been involved with Home Start Warrington & Cheshire since 1997, holding various roles on the management committee and working with Home Start regionally and nationally. Her experience in Warrington’s voluntary sector spans over 20 years. Gwen lives in Warrington with her husband, two daughters, and one granddaughter, all of whom have supported Home Start. She is continually inspired by the passion of everyone involved.

Trustee
Anne lives in Warrington and has one daughter. She initially worked as a primary school teacher before moving into the Education advisory service. Now retired Anne volunteers as a trustee and also gives her time at St Roccos Hospice and supports refugees through Care UK

Trustee
Anne is a mother to two grown up sons and lives in Warrington. She retired after 38 years in the corporate world, where she managed, motivated and supported a large field based team, handling various HR issues. She has volunteered at a school, served as a governor, contributes in a prison and currently holds a trustee position at Home Start Warrington and Cheshire.

Data Protection Lead
Mark joined the board of trustees in October 2020. He is keen on supporting charities, aiding the community and enhancing his knowledge for better assistance to those in need. With IT experience from Auto Trader and his company MBE Consulting Ltd, Mark contributed to Wellbeing initiatives. He helped organise a Christmas party for the elderly and worked with ‘Project Freedom’ to improve their website cost effectively. His main skills include IT, fundraising, networking and PR.

Trustee
Jim joined the board of trustees in November 2021 having previously spent 21 years as a School Inspector. Recently he has been involved in the renovation programme for Culcheth Library working with officers from Warrington Borough Council. His main skills are in evaluating performance and drawing up bids for funding.

Finance Lead
Matt, lives in Warrington. He is a commercial financer assisting SME’s to find the right funding. Having worked in the financial industry since leaving school at 16 years old, he started processing payments and the moved into the independent financial market. In 2020 after 20 years in the industry he wanted to share his knowledge so set up MC Commerical Finance.
